We Just Got the First Peek at NASA's Artemis Moon Landing Suits

New-and-improved spacesuits for the upcoming Artemis Moon landings will be provided by Collins and Axiom Space.

Observers were a little disappointed when neither NASA nor the contractors produced any images of the fits.

We got a glimpse of the Collins suits. Yes, honestly? It's kind of fire.

The suit appears to be more streamlined than the uniforms of the past. According to Dan Burbank, a senior technical fellow at the company, they're going for a sporty, outdoorsy vibe. Anyone want to go on a moon hike?

The Artemis III landing, which will be a major moment for diversity in space travel, will be able to fit a variety of body types.

"When we get to the Moon, we will have our first person of color and our first woman that will be wearing and using these suits in space," said the director of NASA's Johnson Space Center during the press conference.

There is a lot to be excited about, even though not much technical detail has been disclosed.
