Universal Studios Hollywood Reveals Details of Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge

The opening of Super Nintendo World will be in early 2023, according to Universal Studios Hollywood.

The ride is inspired by the popular Mario Kart video game series and features augmented reality with projection mapping technology.

There will be a Super Nintendo World in the US. Theme park guests and Nintendo fans will be able to become part of the Mushroom Kingdom when they are transported into the world of Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach.

Guests enter the kingdom through an icon. It will be located within the castle.

During the ride, guests climb onboard stadium-style, four-seat Mario Kart vehicles inspired by the game, put on augmented reality goggles and then are off to the races.

Nintendo and Universal creative collaborated to create Super Nintendo World. There will be themed shopping and dining on the land.
