According to the Muenchener Merku r., a total of 60 people were injured after a regional train derailed near Burgrain.

The German newspaper reported that several carriages fell down an embankment.

It's not clear how many people were on the train when it crashed or why, but a police spokesman said the train was full.

The police spokesman told the German outlet that people were being pulled through the windows.

The Garmisch- Partenkirchen line was closed due to a train accident and no rail replacement service would be offered due to road closings.
