The father of a victim in the mass school shooting in Florida accused Jim Jordan of being a liar after the congressman claimed that Democrats hadn't done their job on gun control legislation.
During a House Judiciary Committee hearing, Jordan accused Democrats of playing political theater by not reaching out about changes to the legislation earlier.
Jordan claimed that Democrats never contacted them to discuss the legislation they are considering.
Fred Guttenberg pointed out that he and others testified three months ago about the proposals, but Jordan didn't show up.
Guttenberg suggested that if you hadn't spent most of the time out of the hearing, you'd remember.

Guttenberg was angry with other Republicans over their testimony.
He applauded the criticism of Gaetz by Cicilline.
Cicilline said that Gaetz acted as if there had been two shooting in America. Over the last 10 years, we have responded to thousands and thousands of shootings in this country. We didn't wait long enough.
He said to honor the memories of those who have died from gun violence by being committed to finding a solution.
Cicilline asked Gaetz if Americans were fond of their children. Children in America are at risk.
