Lindor had a blackened nail bed and a swollen middle finger. The injury affected his ability to hold a bat. He won't miss more than a day.
The manager briefly considered using Lindor as the designated hitter, but decided not to.
Lindor has driven in at least one run in 10 of the last 11 games. He's batting.365 in that time and has 43 runs.
Lindor said it was frustrating to not be out there with his teammates. I want to do everything I can to help the team.
