Four people were killed in a shooting at a hospital in Oklahoma this week, and the main target was a doctor who used to work for a women's basketball team.

Police say a patient from the hospital traveled to the clinic and opened fire.

Cops say the killer was angry with the doctor after he had operated on him.

The man went to a local gun store just hours before the shooting and purchased a semi-automatic rifle.

A highly respected doctor in the city,Phillips also served as the team physician for the Shock.

In 2016 the Shock relocated to Dallas.

Gary Kloppenburg, who was an assistant coach for the Shock, blamed Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt for weak gun laws in a letter he wrote to the team's coach.

One of the innocent people killed in the latest mass shooting was the doctor of the Shock.

He was a kind and compassionate man who looked out for his players.

The failure to protect their citizens by implementing loose gun laws is close to home for the OK legislature and Gov. Stitt. It's a sad day, Doc.
