Celtics fan talks about getting a champions tattoo (4:29)

Jack Bienvenue explained why he got a Celtics tattoo so early in his life. There is a time and a place for it.

4:53 PM ET

The Boston Celtics are back in the NBA Finals for the first time in seven years. The Game 1 is on Thursday. One fan decided to get a tattoo to celebrate the Boston Celtics winning the world title in 2022.

Jack Bienvenue, a huge Celtics fan, got a tattoo of a championship banner his team has yet to win. Bienvenue said the bounce back the Celtics had over the second half of the season was the reason he got the ink.

The date was March 21st. I think we were on a winning streak. Bienvenue said that they were rolling a little. We were getting the pieces together. I thought it was going to happen when we put the puzzle together. The team has a chance to make a historic run to the finals and just need to finish the job. There are four more to be won.

Bienvenue had ink on his arm.

Bienvenue said everyone was like "this guy is crazy." It was a little crazy for me. A lot of my friends were shocked by it.

It was an idea that sprang to mind. I had no idea what the whole thing would look like. I was thinking about getting a tattoo. I called the artist and said that I had a great idea for a tattoo and that I would be there after school. I decided to drive there. I convinced him to put it in my arm.

The Warriors are the favorite to win the series.

The Warriors and Celtics have met before in the NBA playoffs. The last time a team was called the San Francisco Warriors was in 1964. Bill Russell was the leader of Boston and they had five titles in a row. The Celtics won four out of five games.

The Celtics and Warriors are going to play for the NBA title. The action can be seen on ABC and the app.
