They need to break out the whisks. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is the name of the next Dragon Age game, which was announced today.
The reveal shows that Solas, one of the companions in Dragon Age: Inquisition, will be the main villain of the game.
If you didn't play Dragon Age: Inquisition, you don't know who Solas is or why, so you start reaching for frying pans and spatulas.
The following information is from Dragon Age: Inquisition.
One of the least interesting companions was Solas. He was a mage, but not as cool as the necromancer, or the Enchantress, or the archer. If you got fed up with him and his passive-aggressive, "holier-than-thou" behavior, the game would allow you to punch him.
Some players found him attractive enough to want to romance him despite his bad behavior. If you are a female elf, he would only date you if you are a romantic partner. I think Solas would use the phrase, "Sorry, it's just my preference" in his profile on the dating app.
Solas wants to return the elves to their former glory as rulers of the lands of Thedas. It's good until you find out how he plans to commit a magical war crime that will kill all sentient species except elves.
The Dragon Age fan base didn't like that. For a lot of players, Solas was an ally and even a romantic partner. He betrayed them and then promised to destroy the world for anyone who isn't like him. A lot of Dragon Age fans are now in the business of making omelets because of the sudden betrayal of Solas, who earned the nickname Egg.
The reveal of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is so exciting because of this. Dragon Age games have not been directly sequel to one another. They have always been in different places with different stories, and they seem to offer a follow-up to Inquisition. We won't be able to play as our Inquisitor characters again, but I'll be able to get some revenge on her.
There will be more information about the game in the months ahead. Egg recipes and me are waiting.
