Biden will call for tighter gun laws in televised address Thursday night, following Uvalde and Tulsa massacres

On the heels of mass shootings at a Texas elementary school and an Oklahoma hospital, President Joe Biden will call on Congress to pass new gun restrictions.

The nation is expected to hear from Biden at 7:30pm. The White House said that Biden would make a call to action in the wake of the shooting.

A man with an assault rifle killed 19 students and two teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas before he was killed by law enforcement.

We need to have courage to deal with it and stand up to the gun lobby. Right after the massacre, Biden said something.

This pain needs to be turned into action.

Three hours after purchasing an assault rifle, a man shot and killed his doctor and three other people at a hospital in Oklahoma. Police said the man died from a self- shot wound.

There may have been more than one person wounded in that shooting.
