In spite of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the US is still going to fly at least one cosmonaut to the International Space Station on a SpaceX rocket, if that is still the case.

According to Ars Technica, NASA is still enthusiastic about the swap with Russia. The plan is for an American and a Russian to fly to the International Space Station on a Crew Dragon.

There will be a lengthy process to get them there, according to the program manager.

Montalbano said thatRoscosmos needs to get agreement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The US State Department will approve the agreement after that.

The program manager of the International Space Station said that he's trying to keep US-Russia space peace alive.

After this mission, the next time an American is scheduled to fly on a Russia vehicle comes in September, with Frank Rubio's flight on Soyuz MS-22 to the space station. For now he is still swapping seats with Russia's Anna Kikina, who will fly on Crew Dragon the same month.

No Marooning

There were rumors that Mark Vande Hei was going to be marooned on the International Space Station by the Russians, but he was able to get a ride back to Earth with no issues.

Vande Hei laughed when he heard about it. I said there's no way.

At the time, his return home was considered the last time Americans and Russians flew together in space for a long time.

We will have to wait and see what happens next, but it looks like Montalbano is correct.

NASA is still trying to get a Russian cosmonaut to fly on a mission.

There were things that got awkward during movie night on the space station.
