The Golden State Warriors are favored over the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals.
As of Thursday morning, the Warriors were -150 favorites to win the title and have attracted most of the bets at most sportsbooks. The Warriors are the overwhelming favorite to win the Finals.
The Celtics have been the subject of the biggest reported bets.
According to Jeff Sherman, a vice president of risk who oversees NBA odds for the SuperBook in Las Vegas, his shop accepted multiple bets on the Celtics to win the series.
Sherman said in a text message that he respected the twobettors that played the sharp stuff with him.
A $100,000 bet was taken on the Celtics to win the series. As of Wednesday, it was the biggest wager the book had taken.
Craig Mucklow, head of trading at Caesars, said that the book needs the Celtics to win in the series and in the first game.
The Golden State Warriors are 3.5 point favorites to win the series. The Warriors dominated the spread bets at FanDuel.
The betting public has not paid much attention to Boston. The Celtics were 50-1 long shots to win the title before the season started. There were more bets on the Pistons to win the NBA title than there were on the Celtics as the season began.
If the Celtics win the title, they would be the biggest long-shot champion in 35 years.
