6,200 new unionized jobs will be created as a result of a major Midwestern expansion by Ford. Plans for an updated mustang, Ranger, and a new electric commercial vehicle were also announced.

Ford said it will provide immediate healthcare benefits to all hourly employees and convert nearly 3000 temporary employees to permanent full-time status ahead of schedule. The company will spend $1 billion to improve working conditions.

The new electric commercial vehicle will be assembled at Ford's factory in Ohio and will make its debut in the decade to come. The F-150 is an electric truck and the E-Transit is a commercial van.

Ford didn’t disclose what type of new electric commercial vehicle it has planned

The company said the all-new mustang will be built in Michigan and the Ranger will be built only in the US. Ford will increase production of the F-150 in Michigan, as well as the transit and E-Transit vehicles in Missouri.
