The new home kits that will be worn by Italy, Iceland, Austria and Switzerland at the upcoming Women's European Championship will be released by Puma.

Following on from Adidas revealing jerseys for teams including Germany and Spain last month, and Nike revealing uniforms for England, France and Netherlands last week, Puma now takes it turn ahead of the big kick off on July 6

The kit manufacturer and Liberty created a series of designs for each nation. Liberty's design studio is renowned for its colourful prints and elegant floral motifs.

Two sets of football boots were designed for female athletes.

The launch event for the four kits was held in London, where the final of the Women's Euros will take place.

Italy

Puma

Italy will wear a jersey with a checkerboard pattern that makes them look like they're wearing a blue shirt. The red, green and white of the Italian national flag is represented on a slim tricolor collar.

Iceland

Puma

The kit is similar to the one worn by the men's team in that it has a simple blue base with a wide stripe in a dark blue that runs down from the national crest. The stripe is made up of a Liberty floral print that is found across the designs of the Women's Euros kits from Puma.

Austria

Puma

Austria's bright red jersey has subtle hoops worked into the design that are created using wide bands of the Liberty roseprint. A contrasting, oversized Austrian Football Federation (OFB) Badge helps to complete the look with the manufacturer's marque also switched from the right-hand side of the chest in order to sit above the crest

Switzerland

Puma

The Swiss jersey appears to be covered in a camouflage style pattern, but it's actually made up of the Liberty flower design A simple white V-necked collar provides contrast, along with the two badges always found on Swiss national team kits -- those of the country's football association and that of its national flag

Boots

Puma

The two special editions of boots that have been designed to be worn by female players at the Women's Euros have been created by Puma.

The Liberty rose design can be found wrapped around the heel panel of the boots, which are both gleaming in white.

The demand for soccer footwear and apparel made specifically for women has increased in recent years, with research showing that female players run the risk of sustaining a variety of lower- limb injuries by playing in boots that were primarily designed to fit men's feet

Sports manufacturers are starting to create kit that is specifically designed for female athletes in mind.

The head of product line team-sport management for the German brand said that women's football has always been a priority. Liberty has collaborated with us to create custom kit for our female athletes to wear on the biggest stage.
