Hunter Biden's ex-wife Kathleen Buhle describes his addiction, and learning about his affair with his sister-in-law

In her new memoir, Kathleen Buhle describes the moment when she learned of Hunter Biden's affair with their sister-in-law.

The revelation came from her family therapist and daughters in November of 2016 after the death of Beau Biden.

According to an excerpt of the memoir, Finnegan summoned her to the family therapist's office and asked if she could break the news herself.

The movie "If We Break" will be released on June 14.

This was all I said. She asked if this was what shock felt like.

Her other daughter Naomi said there were text messages between them.

In the summer of 2015, Buhle threw out Hunter after finding a crack pipe in their ashtray. He admitted to cheating with prostitutes while traveling for work. He wrote about his drug addiction in his memoir.

In the fall of 2015, Buhle watched his every move from her computer.

There were charges at a nail salon at Lake Tahoe and a $10,000 credit card charge at a hot tub store in Los Angeles. I found many at strip clubs. He told me he was healthy and sober, and I was crazy.

Hunter Biden was working with Hallie and his parents to set up the Beau Biden Foundation after his death, and he started spending most of his time at Hallie Biden's house.

She felt vindicated after learning of the affair.

She wrote that she was shocked, but not devastated. I had already lost my self-esteem that year.

Buhle and Hunter Biden were married for 24 years. He is being investigated by the Justice Department for his business dealings.

Buhle told People that he couldn't be of any help.

The White House could not immediately be reached for comment.

Hunter's father told Page Six that he and his wife gave them their blessing when Hunter's affair with Hallie became public.
