Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout is trying to steer clear of the fantasy football league dispute between Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tommy Pham and San Francisco Giants outfielder Joc Pederson.
On Wednesday, Trout was asked if Pederson broke the league's rules, after Pham said that he was the worst commissioner in fantasy sports because he could have prevented the dispute between the two outfielders.
He kept his answer brief.
Trout said before the Yankees game that he was not talking about fantasy football. Everyone loves fantasy football. Who doesn't?
He said that he was prepared for the criticism and that he had not decided if he would take on the duties of being the fantasy football commissioner again.
Trout said that every commissioner gets booed.
The dispute came to a head on Friday when Pederson was slapped by Pham. Pederson said he was accused of cheating because he had maneuvered his way into the injured reserve spot. Pederson had disrespected his teammates on the San Diego Padres, the team he played for last season, when he sent a text to the league's group chat.
The Reds and Giants played a three game series.
