Johnny Depp has a new lease on life after being awarded more than $10 million in his defamation case.

Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed by my win. All in the blink of an eye.

False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hate content, although no charges were ever brought against me. The jury gave me my life back after six years. I am truly honored.

The decision to pursue this case was only made after considerable thought, as I knew the legal hurdles that I would be facing and the inevitable spectacle into my life.

The goal from the beginning was to reveal the truth regardless of the outcome. I owed it to my children and those who have supported me to speak the truth. I am at peace knowing I have accomplished that.
