The relationship between the two companies was ended after the PGA Tour players were included in the field for the first event.

As a result of the decisions made by professional golfers, the Royal Bank of Canada is ending its sponsorship agreement with both players. We wish them well in the future.

One of the biggest surprises among the 42 players released was Johnson, a two-time major champion. The Canadian Open will be held in Ontario in June. The bank sponsors the event in South Carolina.

Johnson was the top-ranked player in the world when he was signed to a multiyear sponsorship deal. The highest-ranked player in the LIV field is currently 13th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

When contacted, a TaylorMade spokeswoman declined to comment on the company's multi-year deal with Johnson to play its balls and clubs.

Lee Westwood plans to compete in London, and that's why he's no longer a partner with United Parcel Service.

He had previously said he was fully committed to staying with the Tour and that he was grateful for the opportunity to play on the best tour in the world.

David Winkle issued a statement on Tuesday.

He decided it was in his and his family's best interest to pursue it. Dustin has never had an issue with the PGA Tour and is grateful for all it has given him, but in the end, felt this was too compelling to pass up.

He has four victories on the PGA Tour.
