While live-action announcements grabbed most of the attention during this year's Star Wars Celebration, the event came to a close with more than a few new developments on the animation front that are set to broaden the Star Wars canon in the near future.

Most of the news out of this year's Celebration was focused on stories about the adult heroes and villains who will be duking it out across Star Wars history, but on Friday the conversation turned to younglings. Young Jedi adventures will follow the journeys of multiple Jedi-to-be as they begin to learn the ways of the Force.

The larger universe will be explored in the series, as it existed during the High Republic, when the Jedi were still at their peak of power.

The new Tales of the Jedi anthology series will follow familiar characters like Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, but will focus on stories set during the Star Wars prequels. The first six episodes of Tales of the Jedi will focus on significant moments in Ahsoka and Dooku's lives and show their paths toward heroism and villainy.

Lucasfilm revealed that the upcoming episodes of Star Wars: Visions will include projects from a variety of production houses outside of Japan. The second season of Visions will include episodes from South Korea, France, Spain, India, the UK, Ireland, and South Africa when it arrives in the spring of next year.
