If you don't show up, we will assume you have resigned, according to the emails.

In one email, Musk said that anyone who wanted to do remote work had to be in the office for at least 40 hours per week.

If there are particularly exceptional contributors for whom this is impossible, I will approve those exceptions directly.

There are companies that don't require this, but when was the last time you shipped a new product? Musk wrote in the second email that it had been a while. He said that it was important for senior employees to show their presence and that he lived in the factory so much because of it.

The most exciting and meaningful products of any company on Earth will be created and manufactured byTesla. He said that this wouldn't happen by calling it in.

Musk appeared to confirm the validity of the emails. They should pretend to work somewhere else, Musk said after an inquiry about the leaked emails.

The outspoken CEO is known for having high expectations for factory workers in order to meet ambitious production goals.
