Zouma was sentenced to 180 hours of community service for kicking and hitting his pet cat.

The man was banned from keeping cats for five years after pleading guilty to two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to protected animals.

Yoan was sentenced to 140 hours of community service. The man was suspended by his club after the footage appeared.

In February, Yoan filmed the incident involving the cat and posted it on the app.

Kurt Zouma kicked his cat across his kitchen before throwing a pair of shoes at it.

Susan Holdham, the district judge, said that both of you took part in the act with the pet cat.

The cat looked up to you. You didn't provide for its needs on that date.

When the incident came to light, Zouma was fined two weeks of his salary by West Ham, but the manager continued to pick the defender to play. Zouma lost a sponsorship deal with Adidas.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals took care of Zouma's cats after the incident.

The brothers were brought to court by the RSPCA because it did not have the power to charge them.

Private prosecutions against individuals can be brought by the RSPCA with cases heard in court and sometimes taken over by public prosecutors.

West Ham United can confirm that Kurt Zouma has been handed a community service order following an investigation by the RSPCA.

West Ham United condemns in the strongest terms any form of animal abuse. This type of behavior is not in line with the values of the football club.

Kurt was fined the maximum available to the club within 48 hours of the footage emerging. A number of deserving charities are now with every single penny of this money.

Kurt admitted at the earliest opportunity that what he did was wrong. He has apologized.

We hope that everyone will allow Kurt to learn from his mistake now that the court has made a decision.
