A friend of the family says the grandmother of the Uvalde school shooter worked at the school.

The source told the New York Post that Cecilia was a teacher. She was on the payroll of the school at the time of the incident.

She knows many of the students who died and the teachers who were killed, as well as adult victims, according to the source.

For the first time, the admission establishes a direct link between Ramos and Robb Elementary School, where he killed 19 children and two teachers. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Ramos shot his grandmother at their home in Uvalde before going to school.

As investigators search for a reason behind the shooting, it came as a result. Ramos's grandfather had previously claimed that Ramos and Gonzales were arguing over her refusal to pay her phone bill before the shooting. Ramos had been living at his grandparents home for between two and three months prior to the shooting.

The key witness who police are looking to interview is currently recovering from a gunshot wound to the head, which severed part of her face, at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. She is alive and in stable condition, contrary to reports that she was killed by Ramos.
