Chernick told me that he has been making it since he was little. Chernick's banana bread keeps people coming back for more, from middle school bake sales to making loaves for friends to bring to office parties. Chernick began to seriously consider starting a business once people started asking for a recipe. She baked banana bread in her apartment and brought it to work in a suitcase because she needed to make deliveries after hours.

Chernick decided to sell her banana bread at the farmers market to see if anyone would buy it. She baked 300 loaves for the farmers market and they sold out in less than two hours. It was an exciting day for Chernick, because she was going to bring her banana bread business to the next level. This was December.

Chernick was moving quickly. She was able to make up to 500 loaves of bread a week with the help of a commercial kitchen space that she rented out. Chernick used her skills as a photographer to take pictures of her banana bread, which was covered in everything from peanut butter to sea salt between slices. Chernick had to stop the production of Banana Bread since the commercial kitchen was closed because of the Pandemic.

Chernick was able to level up her social media game when she couldn't make banana bread. In her downtime, she took photos of her banana bread and posted her stories on the social media platform. After the commercial kitchen reopened, Chernick decided to quit her full-time job and start selling Banana Bread. Her side project was now a full-blown business.
