It was the highest-grossing film in that time period, with an estimated $156 million domestic haul over the course of 4 days.

It is also the first $100 million opening for the man. During a time when it has been hard to get a seat at the cineplex, a lot of milestones were hit here.

The movie has gotten rave reviews from both critics and normies alike, and is being hailed as even better than the OG from the 80's, which is really saying something.

There is a lot of hype. It is as action-packed as you would want a summer popcorn movie to be. A lot of that action is shown through practical effects. No CGI.

Most of the stunts you see in the air were shot from actual fighter jets, with the actors in the real seats. The story is good.

It is very emotional, funny and nerve-racking, and it closes with his son, who was seen as a kid in the first "Top Gun" movie. It's worth it to see it in theaters. Go check it out!
