Someone may have tried to jam communications signals at a Chinese space launch center.
The Beijing Daily is reporting that researchers from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China discovered a signal jammer on Sunday after weeks of interference.
They found a small transmitter with a small range. Regardless of why the equipment was out there, it is an ominous sign that the equipment to disrupt space launches may already be there.

The timing of the device's discovery is striking given that it was discovered just before China was to send three astronauts to its new space station.
Despite the discovery of the device, China will go ahead with the launch that will take three astronauts from the space center to thegong via one of the country's Long March 2F rockets.
This kind of potential sabotage is bad and potentially devastating, and would likely be a much bigger story if it happened in the US or Europe.
