A motion to dismiss all charges against Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was filed by the district attorney in Colorado.
A hearing in the case had been scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, but it was canceled as part of the district attorney's motion. After the district attorney makes a decision, a judge must dismiss the charges.
After reviewing the evidence, I always believed that no crime had been committed and all charges would be dismissed, according to Jeudy's attorney.
Jeudy was arrested on May 12 and charged with criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer. According to Colorado law, Jeudy spent a night in jail and was released on a personal recognizance bond, which allowed him to have contact with the mother of his baby.
At the time, the sheriff said there was no damage to the property.
The domestic violence enhancer was added to the charge because of the property of the mother of Jeudy's daughter. Those charged with domestic violence or with a domestic violence enhancer are held without bond until they appear before a judge.
Brown said that Jeudy prevented the woman from getting her wallet, medical information for the child and a car seat. The woman took one of Jeudy's phones. The woman told the judge that she didn't want to be charged.
Jeudy has been a regular attendee of the Broncos' program. Jeudy was the Broncos first-round pick.
He missed six games with an ankle injury and finished with 38 catches for 467 yards and no touchdown.
