The U.K.'s Crown Prosecution Services said it authorized four sexual assaults.

The charges had been authorized against Spacey. The actor was charged with four sex assault charges, as well as causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent. The incidents happened over the course of a few years. Two of the charges relate to an incident with one accuser, another and the sexual activity charge relate to the second, and the final sex assault charge relates to the third man. The artistic director of the Old Vic theater was Spacey. After actor Anthony Rapp came forward with claims that Spacey had previously sexually abused him, roughly 30 other alleged victims came forward. There were 20 complaints of inappropriate behavior made against Spacey. Spacey was charged with indecent assault and battery in the U.S., but the case was dropped in 2019. Rapp filed a civil suit against him.
Spacey's career was derailed after he was accused of sexual harassment. He was cast in the movie Gateway to the West this month, after landing a role in the movie last year. The foreign projects are not as big as the ones that the Oscar-winner led in his heyday.
