At a time when Germany appears to be doing just that, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Germany not to provide more military support to Ukraine.

According to documents obtained by the German publication, the country has only sent two weapons since March. Insider shares a parent company with Welt.

Between March 30 and May 26 the German government only made two arms deliveries to Ukraine, according to documents.

Small arms included in both shipments were anti-tank mines. The German tabloid BILD reported in April that Scholz had refused to supply German battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. BILD is a publication of Axel Springer.

According to the documents obtained by Welt am Sonntag, Germany did not grant a request from Ukraine for Harpoon anti-ship missiles.

The information on specific arms deliveries is security related and classified, so I ask for your understanding not to be able to provide more detailed information or confirm details.

The Germany's Ministry of Defense didn't reply immediately to Insider's request for comment.

The report came three days after Putin warned the two leaders.

In a phone call between the three leaders on Saturday, Putin said that continuing arms supplies to Ukraine would risk destabilization of the situation.

The Russian leader was asked to hold serious talks with the Ukrainian President.

He has been criticized for his hesitant response to the conflict. He has voiced his support for the country, but has not approved the transfer of heavy weapons.

Since the start of the Russian invasion, Ukraine has continued to ask for help to defend itself in the easter Donbas region, which is currently under heavy attack.
