The executive vice president of manufacturing engineering at Rivian is leaving the company as part of a reorganization. Frank Klein will now be in charge of senior manufacturing and supply chain employees. The Wall Street Journal reported on the shakeup.
As the company ramps up production of its electric vehicles, there are changes happening. In its latest earnings call, the company said it delivered 1,227 vehicles to customers last quarter and produced 5,000 vehicles. The company said that it has a ways to go to catch up to demand, as it has more than 90,000 reservations for the R1T and R1S vehicles. In November, Rivian's CEO said the company wants to be making at least 1 million vehicles per year by the year 2030.
The stock price of Rivian has fallen since the company went public in one of the biggest IPOs ever.
