Epic returns to in-person Fortnite competition with a November event

The first major in-person competitive event for the game since the World Cup will take place in November.

The Raleigh Convention Center in North Carolina will be the site of the FNCS Invitation in November of 2022.

The company stresses that player health and safety are the number one priority for holding any in-person event, and warns that it may have to change the event if public health trends change.

It's not clear if they are planning a World Cup for 2023. There was a $30 million prize pool for the first edition of the World Cup ofFortnite. There would be a World Cup in 2020, but at the end of the year, there would be no World Cup. The announcement of the FNCS Invitational 2022, which will take place in 2022, seems to indicate that the company is looking to host in-person tournaments again.

There is a big in-game event planned for June 4th, which is when the current season ends.
