NFL cornerback Jeff Gladney has reportedly died in a car crash at age 25

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that Gladney died in a car crash in Dallas. He was 25 years old.

Brian Overstreet, Gladney's agent, told the publication that they were asking for prayers for the family.

Overstreet did not reply immediately.

Gladney was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2020 draft.

His friends and teammates mourned his death on social media.

"I just lost my best friend, and it makes no sense," said Philadelphia Eagles player Jalen Reagor.

Terrible news to hear this morning. "Just tragic", the Arizona Cardinals' JJ Watt said.

After being found not guilty of assault charges, Gladney was able to sign with the Cards in March.
