New Orleans guard and National Basketball Players Association president is now an NBA analyst for ESPN.

The network signed the star to a multi platform deal. He will make his debut on Thursday during the NBA Finals: celebrating 75, which will be an alternate presentation of Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics.

A journalism graduate from Lehigh University, McCollum has appeared as an analyst on the sports network.

I am excited to bring what I feel is my unique perspective, based on my vast knowledge of the game that I have gained during my nine years as a player in the NBA.

A new show will be developed by McCollum. He will be an analyst for games during coverage of the NBA Summer League, as well as making appearances on studio shows throughout the year.

CJ is one of the most respected players in the NBA, which is evident by his role as President of the NBA PA. David Roberts, the head of NBA and studio production, said that he was an extremely talented member of the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Portland to New Orleans trade happened at the February trade deadline. He averaged 24.3 points for the New Orleans Pelicans.

A growing number of players are year-round analysts while still playing. Chiney has hosted an afternoon radio show for the past few years. Draymond Green signed a multiplatform deal with Turner in January.
