Conclusion.
There is not a single person in Phuket who knows about it. A reflag from a local hotel is one of the things that can be found in Patong.
The hotel I stayed at was lackluster, and I stayed there as part of my Sandbox experience. It is a great fit for tour operators that can fill it with passengers from China, Russia, or India.
When I talked to the employees during my stay, I knew that the owner of the other hotels had Accor flags on the island. Unless it first goes through extensive renovations, I hope this won't become a Pullman or Novotel.
The hotel is large enough to be affiliated with international brands.
