Crowds booed Texas Gov. Greg Abbott when he visited the Robb Elementary School shooting memorial.
The Uvalde area was made into a memorial for the 19 children and two adults killed in the Texas school massacre. The President and First Lady paid their respects at the makeshift memorial.
A sizeable crowd of people jeered at Abbott when he walked toward the memorial.

Memorial attendees begged Biden to do something about gun violence when he visited on Sunday.
Biden replied that they would.
Abbott came under fire this week after saying that the mass shooting could have been worse, despite there being no evidence that the Texas shooter had a mental illness.
In Texas, Abbott has pushed for relaxed gun restrictions. He supported a number of laws to expand gun rights and access, including one that made it legal to carry a handgun without a license.
He was embarrassed by the fact that Texas was the second-ranked state in the number of gun purchases.
There have been six mass shootings in the state during Abbott's time as governor. Abbott declined to endorse new gun restrictions even after the Uvalde mass shooting, while indicating in a speech to the NRA that laws have not stopped madmen from carrying out evil acts in peaceful communities.
There have been heated confrontations over the Texas school shooting. Ted Cruz was excoriated by a former Texas House candidate at a restaurant. The man called Cruz out on his pro-gun stance. That is on your hands! Ted Cruz is on your hands.
