The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 rifle that was used in the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting was given away by the National Rifle Association.
The website and advertisements for the NRA's giveaway read, "The NRA is giving away 12 world-class guns that Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi want to ban!", which opened just one day before the shooting occurred.
The NRA did not reply immediately.
Since the shooting, there has been renewed calls for gun control measures to be passed, but no national legislation has moved forward.
The model gun used in the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School is included in the prize package, along with 1,000 rounds of ammunition. There are no additional entries being accepted for this contest.
Since the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, which killed 19 students, two teachers, and wounded 17 others, the organization has been the center of protests.
