More details about what Apple could announce at its annual developer conference are emerging. Mark Gurman suggests in his Power On newsletter that the company will have a fair amount of information to share about the new operating system. The next version of Apple's mobile operating system will include wallpaper with capabilities similar to those of a mobile device.

An always-on display feature will be exclusive to the company's next iPhone Pro models, according to reports. The ability to show you notifications and other glanceable information without the need to wake your displays would be possible. That feature is already available on many phones, and Apple had planned to add it to the iPhone 13 last year, but changed its mind.

Gurman says that the operating system will include enhancements to how it handles multitasking and windowing. Steve Troughton-Smith, a developer who works for Apple, recently posted a picture of an app window with the caption "Apple is likely working on a way to let users resizing app windows." That feature would be useful on the iPad. New social network-like features are expected to be added to Messages. We won't have to wait long to see what Apple has in store for us. June 6th is when the WWDC starts.
