The manager of the Reds has told fans to book hotels for the final of the European club competition in Istanbul next year and has vowed that the team will return stronger.

Real Madrid became kings of the continent once again thanks to Vinicius Junior's strike in the final of the European Championship, which was marred by chaos outside the stadium.

The kick-off was delayed by 37 minutes because of security issues outside the stadium in Paris.

The Reds were unable to find a response to the second-half goal as Carlo Ancelotti oversaw the Spanish giants' 14th European Cup triumph.

It was a sad end to a great season for the Reds, who were pipped to the title by a point by Manchester City and lost in Paris.

He has full confidence in his team to come back next season.

It is not bad to get to the final, although not the success you want to have, he said.

I think we will come again. The boys are competitive and will be that again next season. We go again. Where is it next season? Is it Istanbul? Don't forget to book the hotel!

The mood in the dressing room makes it feel like a bad season, and we will need a few minutes or hours for that.

We played a good game. A perfect game would not have been possible if the opponent set up with a deep formation, counter-attacks and long balls. The long ball that we couldn't defend in the first place was similar to the goal that was disallowed in the first half. We had a lot of shots, but only three forced Courtois into top saves.

From a throw-in, we conceded a goal. Vinicius was there and that was it.

The boys played like they wanted to play before they were down by a goal. We had too many people in the middle. It is a threat they have with counter-attacks. We wanted to be bolder in the second half. We said that at half-time. We were playing around them. We should have played more in the formation.

The team will head out on a parade on Sunday.

The club and council decided to go ahead with the parade after the Reds won two cups.

And tomorrow, we will celebrate the season.

We don't have to do that immediately. After a night of sleep and maybe another speech from me, the boys will realize how special it was. Even if nobody on this planet would understand that we have a parade tomorrow, we still will do it and I hope that everyone who has the chance to go to the game is there to celebrate with us. It didn't end like we wanted, but that's the facts.

The club is in a good place and we will go again.

Liverpool's Andy Robertson admits his team missed some big chances in their Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.

We came up against an unbelievable goalie tonight, he pulled off some unbelievable saves.

I think we could have played better in the second half. I thought we played well in the first half and were in control. They started getting a hold of the game in the second half.

They know how to win finals. They showed that when they got their noses in front.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed he received messages from Leighton Baines and Duncan Ferguson after his Champions League victory over Liverpool.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti described himself as "the record man" and hailed his side's victory as he became the first manager to win the trophy for a fourth time.

I cannot believe it. He said that they had had a fantastic season.

We suffered a lot in the first half but we deserved to win the competition.

I'm the record man. I had the chance to come here last year and found a really good squad with a lot of quality and mental character.

The season was top.
