Suzuki helped off the field after taking pitch to neck between innings (0:32)

Kurt Suzuki was helped off the field after taking a warm up pitch. (0:32)

The Los Angeles Angels catcher was hit in the neck by a pitch in the third and left the game.

Manager Joe Maddon said after the game that Suzuki came through his hospital tests fine and returned to Angel Stadium. He thinks Suzuki may be available for the game.

Suzuki was hit in the neck by a pitch from Michael Lorenzen in the top of the third, when the Blue Jays were up by one.

The veteran was led off the field by the training staff as Maddon walked with them. He had to be helped into the dugout as he descended the stairs, and they took off his mask.

Suzuki was replaced by Max Stassi, and Lorenzen was called on to work a no-hitter on five pitches. Stassi grounded out in his first at-bat.

In his second season with the Angels, Suzuki entered the game with a.191 batting average and one home run. He was 0-1 before he left.

The Angels are his fifth organization. Suzuki played for the Oakland A's, Washington Nationals, Minnesota Twins, and Atlanta Braves. He spent time with Oakland and Washington.
