Ahsoka Tano is one of the few Star Wars characters that has had an evolution. The character slowly came into her own over the course of the show's seven-season run, serving as its ostensible main character. She made the jump to live action with The Mandalorian's second season after being a recurring character in Rebels. The first footage from Star Wars Celebration gave us an idea of what to expect from Ahsoka.
After her brief time guest-starring on The Mandalorian, Ahsoka picks up again, this time with the ex-Jedi on the hunt for her old friend. The show ended with a tease of Ahsoka teaming up with other Rebels to find him, as well as the use of giant space whales to yeet himself and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and a potential Thawn-alike are expected to cross paths with Ahsoka and Sabine during their journey.
During the panel where the Ahsoka footage was shown, it was confirmed that the character of Hera Syndulla would be playing a role in the movie. Bordizzo said that he was adopted into a new family as a result of playing the Mandalorian explosives expert.
Ahsoka will have to think about her past relationship with Anakin Skywalker, something that was briefly discussed during her time on Rebels. Thankfully, the death of the surrogate brother and sister isn't going to be as much of a factor in this show as it was in the previous one. If you don't have a conversation with the Force ghost of your former master, are you really a Jedi?
Disney+ will be home to Star Wars: Ahsoka in 2023.
