Heard isn't asking for a lot of money. Her lawyer said Friday that they simply asked for that amount to send a message to thePirates of the Caribbean star after he asked for half that amount.

Legal teams for the former spouses in defamation cases registered their closing arguments in a Virginia courtroom on Friday.

We sent a message back saying we were going to lawsuit for $100 million because you did to her.

The case began in Fairfax, Va., on April 11. The case is about the right to tell one's own story, according to Heard's side, which painted the case as being about getting his life and reputation back.

The jury was warned by Heard attorney Benjamin Rottenborn that they would be sending a message to victims of domestic abuse if they found in his favor.

If you didn't take pictures, it didn't happen. If you took pictures, they are not real. You are lying if you did not tell your friends. Your friends are part of the hoax if you told them. If you did not seek medical treatment, you were not injured. If you sought medical treatment, you are crazy.

If you do everything you can to help your spouse, who is addicted to drugs and alcohol, you will be a bad person. If you decide enough is enough, you will be a gold digger because you have had enough of the fear, the pain and the need to leave to save yourself.

The case was called "victim-blaming at its most disgusting" by Rottenborn, who also showed the notorious video of Depp wandering around a kitchen, slamming cabinet doors, pouring himself a large glass of wine and getting angry when he realized Heard was recording his actions.

Who does that? The jurors were asked who did that. Like a wild animal. That is abuse. That is abuse.

Attorneys for the actor argued that he was the actual victim in the relationship.

There is a victim of domestic abuse in this courtroom, but it is not Ms. Heard.

She painted the allegations against Heard more clearly. She kept lying.

Heard lied when she asked for a temporary restraining order in 2016 and when she wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post about the case. The case is being argued in Virginia because it is the home of the news outlet.

She has come too far. She cannot back down. She lied to many people and Mr. Depp finally decided to fight to clear his name. She came up with a new accusation that Mr. Depp raped her with a bottle in Australia.

After listing the 16 witnesses who stood up in court for Depp, including ex-girlfriend Kate Moss, the team later said that no one showed up for Heard. Heard's team used pre recorded video depositions to present its case.

The case was categorized by the attorney as the "unique and singular #MeToo case where there is not a single woman who came forward to similarly."

After the #MeToo movement hit in 2017, producers knew better than to hire anyone who had been accused of abuse, implying that Heard's op-ed had placed Depp into a category where he didn't belong.

The jury was reminded by Rottenborn that Heard's career had suffered after comments by Adam Waldman. Co-stars like her. She tests well. She cannot get opportunities because of the negative publicity associated with Mr. Waldman.

The day before, Judge Penney Azcarate told the jury that they should not argue past dinner time.

A jury in Virginia must reach a unanimous verdict. Both actors will have their defamation claims decided by a jury. It is not clear when the verdict will be decided, but it could happen next week.
