We are here.

The Atlanta Falcons owner, Arthur Blank, didn't want to get involved in politics. He took shots at politicians on both sides of the aisle.

I think our political process is broken. On both sides. I think it has been hijacked by extremists. I am an independent thinker and appreciate everyone's opinion. I will stay out of the political debate because it is a lost art.

I would start my retort by saying that what you have just said is one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your response were you even close to a rational thought. Everyone in this room is dumb for listening to it.

Legislators are asking for background checks that the majority of Americans support. The bill to create domestic terrorism offices within federal law enforcement agencies was blocked by Senate Republicans. There was a mass shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo that left 13 people dead. The Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021, passed by the House of Representatives over a year ago, has not been taken up by the Senate.

Yes, Arthur. Both sides' rhetoric works perfectly here. A small amount of research would show you wrong. Georgia is one of the most politically-contested states in America. Some claptrap comes from Blank's camp.

Blank's foundation gave $100,000 each to the Sandy Hook Promise and The Health Alliance for Violence Intervention. The monetary contribution should be standard to help the gun epidemic. Blank can't get out of his own way. Despite his view that our political system is broken, the statement about the donation dropped the word "bi-partisan".

Does that make sense on Earth? Adding Blank's voice to the conversation about making schools safer and limiting mass shootings in America should be beneficial. It is a requirement to have your facts straight before speaking up. Do better, Arthur.
