The Pentagon is selling a t-shirt that says not to worry about their killer robots, which raises a lot of questions, it seems.

Michael Groen, head of the artificial intelligence team at the Pentagon, said during an event organized by the Atlantic Council that although the military's killer robots are exciting, they are not the most exciting thing.

Groen, head of the Pentagon's Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, said during the May 25 event that there is a question about what is artificial intelligence for.

The US military doesn't have any weapons that would be considered "autonomous" or "Robocop"-esque killer robots.

According to the report, the Defense Department is developing new rules that may change that tone.

Hearts and Minds

During the Atlantic Council event, Groen used a lot of jargon, but he made a statement about paradigm shifting.

He said that a lot of the rules have to be changed and that a lot of the thought processes have been rendered obsolete.

While he is most likely discussing the idea of changing the mindset of many in the Pentagon, the military has been weighing regulations or even banning killer robots.

In late 2021, US officials put the kibosh on new robot rules.

Groen is going to retire soon, and there is no telling what his replacement will do with the killer robots that may end up defining the next generation of US military tech.

More about Pentagon transformation is what Groen says.

The US military was horrified by Chinese military spending money on the same rap.
