According to ABC News, groups gathering include the Harris County Democratic Party, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and March For Our Lives. The Harris County Democratic Party encouraged people to join the protest on Facebook, saying that every single speaker at the event bears responsibility for the innocent lives lost to gun violence. The founder of Black Lives Matter Houston told the Guardian that the city of Houston needs to kick the NRA out.
