Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports said that Pat McAfee is being eyed by Amazon to host a show similar to ManningCast for Thursday Night Football.
McCarthy notes that it is unclear if McAfee would be able to host a weekly show because he is busy with his other jobs.
McCarthy reported that McAfee would be open to hosting a MegaCast as it would fit what he was looking for.
He would most likely host the show from his home in Indianapolis, since he won't be on the road to host a MegaCast for Amazon. Amazon would be hoping the show would do well enough to compete with Monday Night Football hosted by the Mannings.
Tom Brady,LeBron James, and many more jumped on the ManningCast, which averaged 1.58 million viewers, per the Sports Business Journal. The series won an award on Tuesday.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, and a number of other football players have all appeared on the The Pat McAfee Show.
His radio show has over one million subscribers on his YouTube channel and he gets thousands of views on his videos. He has a good following on the social networking site, with his show having an account that has over 2 million followers.
