British maker of baby milk for the royal family will fly formula to the US to combat shortages

The formula used by the British royal family to feed Prince Louis will be flown to the US to help combat ongoing shortages.

Kendamil is in talks with the FDA to be flown to the US and will send enough to fill 100 trucks over the next six months, the company said.

The baby milk and Kendamil baby cereals were fed to Prince Louis by his mother.

President Biden launched "Operation Fly Formula" on May 18 to combat ongoing shortages caused by supply chain issues and product recalls.

Some formula made by Abbott Nutrition at its factory in Michigan was recalled after four infants became sick from consuming the product.

Target, Walgreens, and other retailers rationed tins of formula as parents struggled to get tins of their preferred formula.

The Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Agriculture can use military aircraft to bring baby formula into the US. The first shipment of formula from Switzerland arrived in Indiana on Sunday.

The scale of the baby milk shortages in the USA is very concerning. We can only imagine how hard it must be for the parents to deal with it.
