The Daily Getaways promotion could potentially offer some awesome discounted travel opportunities. We can now mark our calendars because there aren't many details yet.
The US Travel Association runs a promotion that is intended to encourage tourism within the United States. The Pandemic has impacted this a bit, but it has historically been offered every spring. The promotion was put on hold for two years. The promotion was brought back in the fall of 2021, and will be back in the summer of 2022.
Daily Getaways has partnerships with major hotel groups, rental car companies, theme parks and other companies to offer discounted travel packages. Vouchers for travel experiences, points packages, and discounted gift cards are some of the different forms of promotions.
The Daily Getaways promotion is expected to return in July of 2022. We don't know how long the promotion will last or what the offers will be, but a preview is expected to be available on July 11, 2022.
You can access the deals by visiting the Daily Getaways website each weekday at 1PM, which is when the offers go live. There have been five weeks of promotions in the past. We will see if that is the case this year or if the promotion is changed.
It was almost worth it back in the day. There wasn't a lot of competition for the packages. The value proposition has gotten worse over time.
Competition for the better promotions has increased as some of the best deals have become less valuable. I would say buying World of Hyatt points is more like a prize than a promotion, based on how quickly the packages sell out.
I will be sure to recap the offers when they are live, but I wouldn't.
In the summer of 2022, the Daily Getaways promotion is expected to return. We can expect a preview to be available on July 11 and then the offer to be live on July 18. I will post again when we learn more about the offers this year.
