For the sixth time in the last eight years, the Golden State Warriors are going to the NBA Finals.
The Warriors punched their ticket with their 120-110 win over the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Semifinals on Thursday night.
Klay Thompson played his best game of the series, finishing with a game-high 32 points on 12-of-25 shooting, including eight 3-pointers.
The Warriors built an 18-point lead in the second quarter, which was the largest first-half lead of the playoffs for Golden State.
In the third, the Mavericks scored 15-2 in the final 3:51 of the quarter to cut the Warriors' lead to seven.
The Warriors started the fourth quarter with a small run to rebuild their lead, and they were able to keep the Mavericks at bay for the rest of the game.
All five of the Warriors starters finished in double digits. Draymond Green had his best scoring game of the playoffs, finishing with 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting and nine assists, in addition to Thompson's best offensive performance of the series. Stephen Curry had 15 points, while Andrew Wiggins and Kevon Looney had 10 and 10 points, respectively.
With Otto Porter Jr out with left foot soreness, the Warriors' depth was much needed. In his first 11-minute spurt, Bjelica posted a plus-14 net rating, and immediately provided strong defense.
Moody gave the Warriors an offensive boost, scoring seven points in nine minutes.
The Warriors offense was not at its best, and their defense played a big part in their win.
In the first half, the Warriors held Doncic to six points, the lowest point total in the first half all season. Doncic had 12 shot attempts in the first half. He finished with 28.
Golden State will face either Boston or Miami in the finals.
