Patrick Mahomes was confident in predicting a different type of offense for the Kansas City Chiefs after a couple of days of practice.
This offense is going to be everybody, according to Mahomes. It will be more than one guy. The whole receiving room is going to have big days and that can be something we use to our advantage.
It is a very deep receiving room. It is difficult to tell which guys will make it because we have so many good ones. That is what you want. You want to compete. You want guys competing to make the roster because they will help us in the end.
In his four years as a starter, Mahomes went to either Kelce or Hill for 45% of his completions and 50% of his yards and touchdown. The Kansas City Chiefs overhauled their receiving group this year, trading Hill to the Miami Dolphins and signing JuJu Smith-Schuster and Skyy Moore as free agents.
Many of his receiving teammates went to Texas for workouts and throwing sessions. The four weeks of work were attended by most of the Chiefs receivers.
We would go to lunch and dinner with them, working out with them.
I think it has been translated. We feel like we are on the same page, and we are going to keep building on that.
Ross missed one season at Clemson because of a congenital spine condition. He caught the attention of Patrick Mahomes at practice this week because of a one-handed grab the Chiefs posted to their account.

"You see the talent," said Ross. He catches the football out of the air. He grabs it. There aren't any drops. He is learning the NFL offense.
The more reps he gets, I can only imagine how good he will be because of his talent.
