Harrison Ford took to the stage after an orchestral version of the theme performed by John Williams during the film's brief portion of Lucasfilm's panel. Ford assured fans that Indy 5 is almost completed, and that Williams is returning to do the score. He told the crowd that he would be seeing them around the campus.

The new film brings back Ford's adventurer archaeologist, last seen getting married to Karen Allen and using fridges to survive nuclear explosions. The new film sees him cross paths with Mads Mikkelsen's villain on a hunt for a new object that could potentially spell doom for the world in the wrong hands. Since Crystal Skull was released in 2008, Indy 5 has been in development with James Mangold taking over from Steven Spielberg. It sounds like the return to form that fans have been hoping for, and the new cast additions of Antonio Banderas, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, should serve as solid shake-ups for our hero.

We know there will be more Indy in Lucasfilm's future, whether or not this is Ford's last outing as the title character. MachineGames, the studio behind Wolfenstein, is working on a video game about Indiana Jones. One franchise has said that no one is ever truly gone, but what else will follow is up in the air.

Indiana Jones 5 will be released on June 30, 2023.
