In the trailer, you will see Davis reprising his role as the title character, who sought to protect the child destined to become empress. A plucky group of rag-tag adventurers attempt to convince willow to help them restore balance to their world in this epic trailer featuring Davis as a reculsive sorcerer-hermit. This is a continuation of the original film, starring the same character, and is not an adaption or a remake.
The new character in the series is Princess Kit, played by Ruby Cruz, who is trying to save her twin brother. The aspiring warrior and the thief are both starring in the film as they help Kit save the Prince. Tony Revolori will be playing a kitchen maid, as well as the other two actors.
Davis offered a behind-the-scenes set visit with the cast last year, producing a delightful little featurette ahead of the show's release. It was not known at the time if Davis would return to the world of Willow.
The movie is scheduled to be released on November 30, 2022, on Disney+.
