James said that Trump's two oldest children, Donald Jr. and Ivanka, have been told to appear before his office to testify.

A spokeswoman for the former president did not return a request for comment from Forbes, though he has decried the investigation as a politically driven witch hunt many times.
The civil investigation is focused on whether the Trump Organization and its leaders knowingly misvalued assets for financial gain, through inflating them to secure loans and undervaluing them to save on taxes. Trump has shown little willingness to cooperate with the investigation since it began in 2019. Trump paid a $110,000 fine last week for failing to comply with a subpoena requesting Trump Organization financial records, which his lawyers said he did not have. If her office determines that the former president engaged in financial wrongdoing, James could bring a lawsuit against him.
